05 GT for $25,400?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=199899499

Think that is a good price? The ad says $25,999 but he said he could sell it for $25,400.

well the only thing that i notice is that it already comes with the premium warranty, which is probably about 1500 bucks i bet. I paid 27,800 on xplan, fully loaded, which listed at about 30,000. So for that car plus a premium warranty, might be worth it.

I am not sure, it is almost 3 years old now. It is hard to read the info because he added all the normal stock stuff. I think it is kind of high. Milage is not bad, but why is it for sale? What was it traded in on? I think a few more dollars lower would be fair. Remember it is a GT, so it was drove like it was stolen.

I got my GT new, no plans, for 24,700 + tax. Granted mine was the base model and the only options I got was iup, side airbags, wheel locks. But I only had 4 miles when it came it beginning of this year.

I e-mailed the guy and he said "if you get your own financing or cash then I can let you have it for $25399.00 out the door because this car is on consignment on our lot so you will buy it from the owner."

I looked it up on Kelley's blue book and it said if it is in Excellent condition it should be sold for $25,200 and for Good condition it should be sold for $23,875.

I also suggest you pass on this one and keep looking (unless he'll come down on his price).

Ok I emailed him back syaing the price was kind of high and he responded with, "new GT's are running about $27500 and up but the 2005 GT's are holding there value very well. Like i said the wholesale on this car is $25075 so you are paying $324.00 over wholesale that just doesn't happen on a car like this."

Tell him there is nothing special about the 05's unless its the first few that rolled off the line. Ask him if this super special price includes all the bugs that were not worked out untill late 05/06 like the gas tank issue.

I'd look around more if I were you. I was thinking of selling mine for $25K and I just rolled 10K miles, plus it's supercharged.
