oh you guys are gonna really love this, I just found this out, apparently the star of the show is a 67 fastback that the lead character uses to drift his way to glory???

How you ask? By transplanting the entire power and drivetrain from a Skyline GTR and a whole lot of suspension upgrades. Isnt that the dumbest thing you ever heard, they ruin a car that in 67 was better, more powerful and faster then the latest of Japans supremecy. But here it is.....

Here is a vid of it

Ahh, the perfect opportunity to show off my avatar.

That 67 sounded pretty darn mean in that video.

crap, I just spent about half an hour looking through that site for that video you just posted rrobello, I saw it before and thought it looked like a 60's mustang not an 05.

LOL, yeah, I was banned basically because I can be a bit blunt at times, and I don't have a problem using certain words which are unacceptable on this site. When I first came on here, I didn't read the guidelines to posting on the site, and soooo, my banning was inevitable.

I emailed Brad about it, apologized, and he was totally cool. Now, I really appreciate the "family" atmosphere here, it keeps the annoying people away and on other forums *cough* stangnet *cough*.

Whoo-hoo! Just what I didn't want to see! I have a feeling this movie is gonna tarnish the Mustang's reputation. If you want to see the possibility of what a riced-out S197 will look like, check out Need For Speed Underground 2 (PS2) and throw the riciest stuff you can at it. Presto!

On a different note, (areaseven) Keiko Kitagawa - kawaii desu ne! Also noticed your car's name - if I can get a good deal on an '06, would lean towards "Mutsumi".

Just take the movie for what it is- mindless entertainment- if you see it just enjoy it without thinking about things and if you don't, then no worries. As far as the Mustang's reputation its hard enough keeping it from tarnishing just from a lot of Mustang owner's that have already Fast and Furious'ed them and whatever else they do

Ford Japan used to sell the SN95. Don't know why they're not selling the S197, though.
