I'm looking at getting my 05 for Christmas..and since this is my first car of my very own, I will have to get the V6 for insurance purposes (quite alright because the styling is flawless IMO)...Anyways, I am wondering if there will be any discount on perhaps test driven cars in early December, and how long the wait for one will be by then, or if I will be able to buy one right off the lot. One last question..I understand all pricing is speculation at this point, and Leather in a V6 will probably be around 22K new, do you think I can snag one (like I said, maybe a tester) for under 20K? Thanks, sorry for the babbling, I am just so excited about the 05

The early test cars are usually destroyed for analysis, but I don't know about the later mules.

Good luck with your buy though...hope it all works out!

Maybe one of our dealer friends on here can shed some light on this...

What do you mean by test cars?

The mules and development cars used by Ford will be destroyed or locked up somewhere. I don't believe Federal Law will let them sell them.

If you mean cars that the dealers have used as "demos" then you might be able to talk to the dealer about getting a discount when they are done with it. Thats usually 6 months to a year for most dealers in my area.
