daily driver...but why would you not want to drive it on weekends? Isn't that when it would be most fun???

My 05 GT was going to be a daily driver. But the dealer would not give me enough for my 97 T-Bird as a trade-in. So I kept it. Worked out that I don't need the money from the T-Bird, so I won't sell it private either. I will use the T-Bird as a bad weather car and keep the miles low on the GT.

Barn baby here, no likey bad weather.. Got the golf for that. Besides I'm a 60 mile round tripper to work, and usually going at snails pace.

Daily driver, but I was hoping to find a beater for about $1,000 for the really bad snow days that we get every once in a while here in Detroit.
Once the car is paid for though it will become a summer time weekend hot rod. That's when all of the major mods will come in.
While it's under warranty I'll only upgrade the exhaust and air intake. After it's paid for and warranty is out then come the headers, x-pipe, and whatever else I can afford!! =)

Definitely my daily driver here.
I would actually like to keep my 2000 Escort and keep the GT garaged - that would be cool - but I can't afford the insurance for bOTH cars so.... bye bye Escort!
Good things is, come January, I am moving into a new place that is only 12 miles from my job - my commute right now is about 28 or so.

I'm getting the 05 Mustang GT because its cheap, I love the retro design and the performance. It will be a totally different driving experience than my other cars. And I hope it will be more realiable as a daily driver than my M3, which has been in and out of the shop for ECU and sensor problems for the past 3 months.[/b][/quote]
Mav, you just wait. After you take delivery and start driving your new GT, I predict that it becomes your favorite car to drive. There is nothing .. nothing like the growl of that engine, and your view over that beautiful hood. You will become addicted and find that your S2000 will become very lonely.

As it stands, it will be a mix of daily driving, but more for weekend fun then for DD. I'm keeping my old 130k+ mile car for the most of the drive to work stuff. Keep my new pony lower mileage, and not quite as hard mileage.

Daily driver in good weather (14 mile commute each way, which seems too short in the Mustang). Heavy rain, snow, ice, trips to the supermarket, the gym, the mall, etc., that's my Taurus's job.
