Ok, I'm trying to figure out what to do here and am looking for your advice. Should I settle for an 05' and be able to drive it around this summer, or is it worth the wait for the 06' that has bigger rims?

uhh. the rim size is the *only* thing you're waiting for? Thats your choice, but you're better off going aftermarket anyways. Exactly the style you want, and some fatter and better rubber as well.

Being in the northeast, I plan on getting the 05 and keeping the stock rims for winter. I'll get aftermarket rims in teh spring and swap 'em back during the winter. It will keep teh snow and salt from scratching up the aftermarket rims.

Will wait to see the 06, and Cobra! If I don't like either, then I'll purchase an 05! By that time the 05 should be more reachable, and the dealers will have their bs heads out of the clouds !

[FONT=Arial]Even though I'm gonna have to garage it in the next few weeks for a few months, I'm so glad that I got her now.
My career is now in automotive engineering and I tend to be critical concerning design - this car is a great total package for me just the way I bought her. Waiting a year is one less year to be driving it. I can't talk to the handling performance difference with larger rims but I think that if you can handle it financially, it's worth it sooner versus later.

If it is just the wheels - why wait? The 06 will be "improved" and probably have more options. In 07 - the same will apply. Since I keep my rolling iron forever, I wanted the first year model and thought it outweighed potential "first year" problems.

I'm waiting for the 06 or 07 model, simply so Ford has time to work all the kinks out. I wouldn't bother basing your decision on JUST rims, since Ford will most likely sell them without the car also. But hey, its all personal preference.

And just to add one more stick to the fire...
Hey guys, didn't they say that this would be the only year that the steering wheel will look like this, due to new regulations? Something to do with the size of the airbag or something.
LOL not that it matters...just thought I'd add that for your consideration.
