After a busy weekend at a friends shop, we managed to install 3:73's,rebuilt the tracloc, installed subframe connectors, and jba shorty headers. I also picked up a toasted (but complete) 96 explorer engine. My question to everyone is, what cam would you recommend that would work with the explorer topend?(ca. smog legal of course) What other mods would you recommend. The car is a 95gt convertible with an auto trans. It has a flowmaster exhaust that was on it when i bought it. Also all of the suspension has been modified with Saleen parts(also on it when I bought it) I have not made up my mind on a cai unit yet, but it does have a k&n filter on it with the noise suppressor removed.

For an off the shelf cam with an automatic, an E303 is a good one and is smog legal. In order to maximize your gains afterward I would recommend some dyno time and have a chip burned for your processor.
