Below redline.

Seriously, I would venture to guess somewhere ~ the peak torque RPM.

well, the one guy who drove the 03 cobra said its best to pretend like the tach is slow. so I would shift at 6200, that way you never accidently bump the limiter. dunno if that helps.

i havent taken ours to the track yet. but it feels strong right upto redline. so i would just shift alittle before that. but besure to turnoff the T/C before you launch! ouch the sudden lurch when it kicks on stinkS!

Doesn't the Cobra have a different Redline than the GT?

yes it does. My 99 GT's redline is at 5750(well, the tach says it is, but it doesnt hit the limiter till 6000), and my 03 cobras redline is at 6500.

I believe the limiter on the 2v is set at 6250 rpm, its about there, I've bumped into it many times.

fuel cut-off on a 99+ gt is 6250. You'll stop making power WAY before that. Best bet is to shift around 5500-5600. That will take you far enough past your peak Hp (around 5200) and drop you right around the beginning of the peak HP curve. Should allow you to pull through it quite nicely.
