Anyone here heard of or has used this: http://www.turbonator.com/index.html

Came across it on this site, middle of page. Look for the green link "Supercharge Your Mutang"

Looks like that thing that was being advertised a few years ago as the "tornado fuel saver". I know a kid that put one on his V6 stang but he said he really didn't notice anything different. They claim more power but I think its kind of like a "placebo" per se. You know makes you think it really works. I would use my money elsewhere. just my .02

It seems like it work just if the intake got more direct air. I have a March Ram Air kit in route that connects under the fender and feeds air into the intake more directly.

So I got curious the other night and crawled up under the fender there to see what it looked liked and to see where the kit would go. All it is is just void space. I am amazed any air gets up in there, once I looked at the area.

It is a shame in order to find if it works you have to go through the hassle to buy, install and check it yourself and not go by the garbage on the site. It does makes since but you never know if it does what says.

I talked to a guy a cuople years ago that had installed one of the "Tornados" in his Ford ZX2. He swore buy it. It was not enough to get me to buy one, but he really spoke highly of it. Is there in publication that has done a review on one of these type of products? I would be interested in seeing that. The claims they make about how it works do make sense even if the advertised gains do not. If it works so well why are the manufacturers not putting something like this in from the factory?

That is good to hear. If I decide to try this "turbonator" I will post my opinion on whether or not it is worth buying. And like the site says, if you dont like it..send it back to them for a refund.

Don't waste your money! You will gain nothing...it's nothing but hype and it does not work. I know another shop owner that for a joke put the tornado on a car and put it on the dyno before and after....lost 3HP after they installed it.

Go look at a boat supply website and look for the fans that are used for exhaust on the bathrooms on boats...you'll find a striking resemblence to these electric "superchargers".

You've been warned, my conscious is clear....if you waste your money on this after I've warned you it is your fault

Here is a little tip. The chance on you finding cheap horsepower are slim to none. If the thing actually gave you 35 hp for $70, you wouldnt have to order them on the web. They would have them at every store that had an automotive section becuase they would sell like pancakes at a Jenny Craig convention.

Yeah, until I see a legit review in a magazine or something I will stay away from it. I will stick my March Ram Air kit. Not much improvment off the line but a little more HP in my "fun zone" at 35-45mph.

Again, tis a good idea and concept but like it has been mention above...$70 for 35hp would sell like a *****. Was just something I came across on the net and was curious on others opinions on it.

If I've learned one valuable lesson on the site it would be if Paul says don't do it, then don't do it.

The words of Paul have been spoken. Amen!
