Weird rear end noise

The other night I ran over a pretty decent sized rock that made a terrible noise when I hit it going about 5 mph. So now when I'm going about 80+ and let off the gas the rear end of the car makes a terrible grinding sound that is intermittent. But it's pretty noticeable and it's only when I let off the gas at higher speeds. I just put new shocks on that same day and I don't think there tightened all the way down but this noise started after I hit the rock later on that night. Any help would be appreciated Pleaseee

I would check and make sure everything is tight, as for the noise from the rear, I cannot think of anything. If anything had gotten damaged, it would be making noise all the time

If you have a chance to raise the back end up, do that, and spin one of the wheels. Put your hand on a suspension component near the wheel and see if there is any vibration. You can also try grabbing the top front of the wheel, and grabbing the bottom and behind of the wheel with your other hand. See if the rear wheels have any play. I don't think hitting a rock could wreck your bearings, but it's worth a check.
