v6 to v8 swap

Help me out guys....Do I need a whole new computer when I swap a V6 to V8 in a 2000 coupe w/automatic trans, or do I just need a different chip?

I am not sure about that. I do know that Ford put in a stronger gear in part of the other wise same auto trans for the GT. You will need sub-frame connecters and should look in to the 8.8 inch rear end also.
