Hey all,
My brother has an 03'GT and I have an 05'GT. By now everyone knows how sensative the computer is for the 05. When I got my 4:10's put in, I got a tune to recalibrate everything. My brother is thinking about adding gears and we were both wondering about a tune. How esential is it for this year model. I would assume that he would need one, but not to sure about this year and the tuning. Excuse the ignorance.
Thoughts??????

Is his an auto or 5-speed.
If it is a automatic, you will have to have a tuner as the computer controls the tranny completely and it will redo the shift points as well as recal the speedo .
For a 5-speed, you can use a tuner or a speedcal, which you can get from steeda, partshopper or other places. I recommend a tune anyways since you will get some power increases, turn off emissions and other things.

If you redo the entire exhaust, intake, and pully system, would you need a tune?

Before the SC upgrade,I picked up 18HP, and 33TQ when I was N/A with an SCT Tune.
