Track-Lok versus other Brands
Is Track-Lok a true LSD?
Is it standard on GTs? (I'm guessing, no)
What are it's advantages versus other LSDs/lockers?
What are it's disadvantages versus other LSDs/lockers?
Any recommendations?
I'm planning to add 4.10s, new 31 axles(Moser or FRPP), and control arms. This is a street car and not a daily driver, but it will be more street than track.

I believe it is a LSD type differential. Any of them will more than likely be better than your stock LSD, but you'll have to upgrade anyways since your going with 31 splines.
Ive not had much experience with different differentials, but i'd think you defintely want one that is going to be 100% to both wheels when in straight line, and that will unlock when you are turning. That'll save on your tires. Also may want to research some and find ones that dont produce as much noise as others.
Here's a list of ones from summit racing that fit an 8.8. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294901314

All V8 mustangs since 1986 have had 8.8 inch limited slip diffs, Traction-Lok is Ford's brand name for their diffs. Like Scott said, you don't want a locker for the street because it doesn't allow the outside wheel to turn faster in a turn and it will probably jerk the car as well as chew up your tires. From what I can tell and have read, the stock 8.8 can take a fair amount of abuse unless you make a lot of passes on slicks or something.
