Thoughts?

I have thought long and hard about this but would like a general consensus. I do not have the money to do it anytime soon so I have time to find a different style if I like.

I have looked at many body kits and have seen many kits that make our cars look like a Honda. However I really like the Stalker body kit for our cars (99-04). I have a convertible and I think the kit still gives the mustang that mean stance without looking like a EVO. But I also want a look that no one else has. Well I have seen it on cars but not very many at all.

Now I know it's my car and i can do what I want, but I want your opinions on this kit?

Following pictures are things I have found that I was thinking about adding to my car which is a 2002 GT convertible triple black.

The blue one is very similar to how mine would look...

First, as you said, "it's my car so you can do what I want" and if you really like it then go for it. But you want opinions so I'll give you MY opinion and what I like....

The hood in the 1st pic may look fine on an S197 but it looks absolutely hideous and out-of-place on an SN95. The lines just don't flow at all.

I've always hated the Stalker kit... 'Nuff said.

I also have an '02 GT and IF I were to want/get a body kit... I've always liked the Saleen kit (minus the Saleen wing. I'd keep the GT wing). The Roush kit is a close 2nd for me, but you'd have to convert to side exhaust for the full effect of the Roush kit.

I plan on keeping the stock GT look and add a Mach1 chin spoiler (and grille) to mine soon. My car is also lowered so, for me, theres no need for a body kit.

I have always like the saleen kit with some cobra bits peppered in.

That first pick is the worst thing I have ever seen ever!

I have to agree with everything in this little statement. Personally, simplicity is best. The stalker kit is hideous and the hood is worse, however I do like the wheels.

I say keep it simple and you will be happy with the results

I have to say that your pictures make the sn-95 look like a Roush. Personally I think body kits are "lipstick" and think the money can be better invested in performance modifications. If a body kit is actually "functional" well then that may be a be different story. If you want the lipstick then I say who gives a **** about what other people think? It's your automobilia art and you are the only one who is going to fully appreciate the outcome. Don't spend your life looking for the approval of other people, take the plunge and just freaking go for it.

This is why people have no money when customizing cars ^^

My opinion the roush body kit Americanmuscle.com has is pretty legit... And it's made directly from roush performance.

This is why I can destroy another S197 here in town with a GT500 Facia and a Cobra R wing on it. It looks really great with the lipstick on but can travel 0-60 in less than 10 minutes. Depending on what look you're going for it can also make you a target, for vandalism and street racers. Performance enhancement is also customizing a car.. Unless things are different where you're from?

Don't think I'm just putting on some lipstick and not working the muscles and shaving the hooha..she's getting the works...it is a vert so I'm not shooting for 1000hp in it...I don't want to twist the chassis, but I would like 450-600rwhp and decent looks
