Sub box

Custom man. Its not hard. Seal it from the inside. Make sure its airtight and big enough for the woofer your using. Anybody know if you can hook a 250 rms sub to the Mach 460 amps in the trunk and be safe?
Yes ported definitely. Harder to build but way better sound an since your only doing 1 12". Just beware of the rattles. Can turn a 2000 dollar system into a ghetto blaster

sinisterbullitt, I know what you mean by not wanting to knock the block apart. I'm more into sound quailty than blowing my windows out of my car. I have never tried to power a sub with the factory amp, so I'm not sure how well it would work. On my 94 GT I added a sub and amp to the Mach 460 using line-level inputs and did not have any problems.

When you took the 460 out did you use those power wires to run the new amp and speaker? Or did you COMPLETELY rip it out and use an new aftermarket amp wiring kit?
And you couldn't run the sub off of the 460 amps because the 2 amps in the back are only 85 watts rms each..it'd be better to add a new sub amp. Sound a lot better as well.
