Straight-Pipe

Straight-Pipe
Hello.
I'm thinking about removing my muffler off of my car so it's just a straight-pipe. Any advice on this?
How loud do you think it'll be? It's already pretty loud, more-over deep as I have a cat-back exhaust system on it.
Your thoughts?

The car will be louder, pitch will go up not down, you get a deeper sound with a muffler.
going no muffler...think Nascar, and that should give idea what kind of sound you are looking at.

When I bought my car, it had no mufflers! Sure it was loud, but it was a not good loud. It just did not sound right. I added 40 series Flows and that made it sound pretty good! I had Borlas, that sounded OK but not near what I wanted. I'm now running IMCO Racing with dumps. That has been my best sound!!
Oh yeah, I have a 95 GT Conv, too!

I did that same thing only I had a muffler shop weld some truck tips on there for me and you basically have slp loudmouths. I loved how it sounded. I say go for it. you can always put them back on if you don't like it.

I'm willing to bet you're not gonna like it. My II had no exhaust on it for a while, just backwards manifolds that dumped in the engine compartment.
You're **** right it was loud, but it wasn't that cool. I only have glasspacks on it right now, and its a mild motor so its not loud, but it sounds pretty good now. Go to youtube and listen to other exhaust setups and see what sounds best to you
