Hi, I have surfed this forum for a while, but this is my 1st post. I own a 95 GT w/13000 mi and an 02 GT w/8000 mi. I drive my F150 during the week. Divorce has reared its ugly head & I don't have parking for both stangs at my new residence. I am thinking of trading both stangs (both paid for) for an 04 Comp orange Mach. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

Can you hold off and go for an 05??? I know that doesn't help, and possibly confuse the matter more...but..I think I might go for the 05...

Welcome to the site!

I vote 'yes' as well. But I may be biased to the Mach! Wonderful car.

Otherwise sell the '02 and put a stroker (SVOpaul recommends a 331) in the '95.

Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear about your situation, that is never easy to go through.

I would think you would be much better off selling them outright. You'd get more $$$ that way. A dealer would low-ball you on a trade.

Just my $.02

Yea the dealer is gonna low-ball you on a trade.

BTW you have a 95 GT with 13K? You are a dedicated collector. At one point I averaged WELL over 13K a year.

The Mach is an awesome choice, so is the 05. It's your call, you'll win either way.

I'd keep the 95. It's probably been babied if it only has 13000 miles on it? It's going to be ten years old as well! Why get rid of a car now that you have taken care of for so long? From my experience the dealer probably isn't going to give you much more on a trade for those ten years of keeping it in great shape. So if you are going to get rid of it go out and spend a few days driving the crap out of it!

The Mach is a nice car though! Let us know what you decide to do. Thankfully it doesn't sound like you are losing any cars in the divorce.

BTW, I have about the same milage on my 02.

I'm kinda partial to an orange Mach myself ... Just make sure 1. you really want to part with the other two cars, 2.) you don't want an 05.

If you decide to get a Mach, you won't be disappointed.

I have an 03 DSG mach 1 that I love dearly. Even on nice days, its hard not to choose driving the mach over my Gt vert. The mach is just pure fun and its really nice looking over the shaker, something FUNCTIONAL. Love that car. I will miss it. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks for responding w/advice. Today a friend & I are taking both stangs to the dealer (Gene Evans-Atlanta). They have the CO Mach I want. No, I dont plan to give both cars away. It is tough to think about parting w/the 95--I ordered it in 10/94. If I can get a decent deal, I will probably pull the trigger. If not, the worst thing that can happen is I come back home w/two paid for GT's. I will keep you guys posted.

Yup. You're best bet may also be to try and sell either one or both cars. Even selling one, you may not end up too badly off -- and have a Mach to boot. (i.e. selling one may not net you much less then trading both).

I would get one car worth taking to shows, easier to deal with and maintain then two cars. It would be something to keep me busy after the divorce (welcome to the club) and make it a hobby. Shows, events, car clubs. Best medicine I had and met plenty of young ladies in the process.

Heres the verdict! I brought the Mach! Brought it home Tuesday night.. Wonderful car, and I did get a good deal--$16750 ti on the 02, and $7000 on the 95. I got there just in time, as a guy was on his way to look at the car. He ended up w/a comp orange GT. My Mach was like the last CO 5 speed left in GA. My soon to be ex will surely have a fit when she finds out, but I'm thrilled. This car put the first genuine smile on my face for the first time in quite a while. Thanks again for the great advice.
