One thing to keep in mind when comparing people's height to their fit in a vehicle is that some people have longer torso's than others. I'm 6'4, size 14 shoe, and have only a 31" inseam, which means I have a long torso... I suspect someone like wdossel is likely just the opposite, long legs and short torso...

I've only been in a V6 'vert for an extended period (*rental) and I was incredibly comfortable...

 

I'm 6'1 195 and have no problems.I even rode in the back of an 04 cobra for 45 minutes with a 300lb man.That was a fun day

 

I had 4 people in my mustang for a weekend trip - 4 hour drive - and all our luggage - sleeping bags etc. Plus one of them was a girl-had to leave some of her stuff behind! Not fun. Don't try it. I am 6 feet and have no problems.

 

I'm 5" 11" with a long torso. Plenty of headrrom in vert. I've only had people in the back seat once and they were 12 year old boys. It's reaaly not very useful except to hold stuff.
