Seat Belts - Twisted - from factory...
On my '04 Cobra the seat belts were twisted a half turn. When buckling the belt the latch was backwards and twisted.
Instead of returning to the dealer to fix, I fixed myself. I had to run the belt through to latch folded over to reverse, then unbolt from floor and untwist the belt a half turn.
Anyone else have this?

Ford hasnt ever done a really goodjob with seat belts. Most cars have a problem with them retracting. Mine are twisted and hate to retract so i have to manually feed it back in each time. Its annoying more than anything

I heard a rumor (you know, could possibly be fake) that its caused by the order they install the plastic interior into the cars. Three different people handle installing the seat belts and if one of them is sick, the "fill-in" screws up the who process.
BTW all four of my seatbelts were twisted. Now two are fixed (front) and two have been removed (custom sub box).

I think some of you may be confused in what I'm stating.
The actual belt in the door pillar frame coming out to the loop is STRAIGHT, but from the top of the pillar seat belt loop going to the floor, the factory TWISTED a half-turn where it bolts to the floor.
I think some of you are stating the belt gets twisted, then wound up in the in the selt belt retractor twisted, therefore causing issues with everything. This might have been caused by what I'm stating, that the factory bolted the belt to the floor by the seat a half turn twisted in the belt.
Make sense, or am I using the wrong terminology to describe what I saw?

My Bullitt is the same way and it makes me NUTZ, and I am about to tear em out and redo so it is right. I love my car and have had 5 extreamly hot Fords, but the seat belts are always a sore spot. I guess Fix Or Repair Daily.
