You need to pick up an ABC Exclusive two-piece speedster cover. They tuck behind the front seats so you can put the top up.

Blip you know I'm not a big saleen fan by any measure..but I really like the blacked out speedster cover and hood on your car..really well done..especially with the yellow pinstripe
Nice car!
I think Chicane sells that exhaust also but it only works with the saleen bumper. Would be nice to modd a standard V-6 bumper to accept that exhaust
Hey Blip, if you dont want to answer this by all means u dont have to. I was just wondering how much did you SA-20 run you? I mean u did have to get it custom built. Plus its a very RARE car. I mean only 10 built. Also very nice car. I love the SA-20's color scheme. Very nice car man. Congrats
65k isnt as bad as i figured it would be. Especially for such a rare car. This is a lil off topic but have u ever seen or know anyone thats actually Purchased the saleen SR? i seen it on the saleen site but i have never seen vids/imgages/or anyone that has actually owned one
Sticker on mine was 59,552, including the AODE, brake & wheel/tire upgrades, plus I was able to apply a $4000 credit from a Ford incentive offer. So my car didn't cost much more than a standard S/C speedster.
Saleen only charged me $800 extra for building my car from a AODE platfrom, but it did take them several weeks to find a white GT vert to use for the conversion.
About the SRs, several have been built from the older 94-98 body style.

And there is at least one in the newer body style--I try to find a picture of that one too.

Thanx blip.. i have seen the body style of the newer one... Its on Saleens main site. But i never knew those where SR's.. i mean 140k for the newer body style that i know of. Suposebly puttin down 5-600hp but i cant remember specifics.

whats the 0-60 time and 1/4mile time on those SA-20s?

My AODE car is probably high 13s, but I've never had it to at a track. It's a cruiser, not a racer, and I just have fun driving it.
And BM, I'm not a fan of the 94-98 SR body style. I like the SR body style better on the current model. Here's are some racer pics, still can't find the street car pictures.
SR engine:
5.8 Supercharged V8
Horsepower: 505hp @ 5400 rpm
Torque: 500 ft-lbs @ 3500 rpm

I see an SA-20 vs. John Deere combine review in Autoweeek soon.

Well...if you liked the John Deere "light bar", (which really works as a rollover loop unlike the Saleen's
), then just compare the front spoilers.
The JD's "spoiler" keeps the front end planted even during low speed driving (about 2-3 mph), the Saleen's only works at high speed. :notnice:
And, the JD's front spoiler has a complete range of adjustments that can be made for the driver's seat--the Saleen's is fixed in one position.
Also, while I once leveled a gravel road with the Saleen's spoiler (OUCH!!!), the JD's spoiler does a much better job at that function.
Brad--D&C testing must have been in winter weather conditions where the JD's 4 wheel drive system can easily out accelerate the SA-20 in ANY snow conditions!!!
Even just the forecast of snow will cause the SA-20's wheels to spin in panic!
DAN--the barn is on the farm across the street, we have a couple of arces and just a small shed behind my home, (see pic below).
The shed is back by the wooden fence.
I do have a 500+ long driveway, good for practicing launches and smokey burnouts.
