Going to be installing the second phase on my Roush conversion. I'v heard that the stock side skirts need to be removed to installed the Roush Side Skirts. I took a quick look without lifting the car and could see that they have a basic screw on both ends in the wheel well and also about 5 black clips every couple inches conected to the inner underside of the body to the stock side skirts. So the question is if anyone has removed them for any reason is fairly easy?

I have done it -- it is really easy. Just remove the black "Mustang" strip in the door (it pulls up) and remove the screws underneath. When you put the Roush sides on make sure you use an adhesive promoter on the DS tape so it doesn't loosen. My last Roush was actually a conversion so if you run into any questions let me know or PM me over on FNSWEET.

yeah got into it with a couple of them about getting a ROEA (a roush club) serial number for my Roush Conversion. The site is very informative and there are some nice guys that welcome the conversions but there is a couple bad apples :nono:

What's that saying again? Oh yeah, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery." I guess some people just don't understand
If someone took a stock V6 and made it look like a GT, I would tip my hat to them.

I wouldnt mind if someone did that to a V6, i dont like a V6 for perf, but they make a good daily driver. How come you only got 11k for your car Pearbear, i if i had money would pay 15k for a ROUSH replica such as yours.

I think some of them were just pissed that a $18,000 Mustang can look exactly like thier $50,000 car. They pay that much for their car and some guy buys the pieces and does it himself for cheaper, I'd be mad too I guess

Haters.......haha.
I guess I don't have problem with it, but if you're sporting Roush badges, that's a little different.
Kinda like the importers when they have "Si-R" on their car, the problem is most "Type-R" stuff isn't available in America.
The main difference is y'all buy the parts to match the original, most importers buy $5-15 badge and call it a day.
Hey Tiki, not to be nosey, but could you post some kind of "total Roush" expenses because I've been considering my own "Project Clone".
I found out on paper that a Cobra is cheaper than a "Cobra Clone." I'm curious as to how much Roush clone costs.
Also did you ever get your exhaust work done?

o yah, a cobra motor and tranny after tax combined is around 16k alone before the hood and doors and interior and wheels and tires and IRS, ROUSH is so much easier to clone and cheaper
