Remote starter 2002 mustang GT

Hey guys just joined. i have some questions about installing a remote starter in my girlfriends 2002. Its a python responder 1 system. i do all my own work on my vehicles/ families vehicles but this is the first remote start i have installed.

i have the unit installed in the car but when i hit the start button on the remote start control th remote start unit clicks and the lights on the car flash. i checked to make sure the hood pin is working as it should. its grounded when the pin is up and shows voltage when the pin is down. the brake killswitch works properly. the tach wire is spliced into a fuel injector wire and the unit notices the tach signal. i have power on the two 12v constant wires showing battery voltage, the starter wire shows voltage when starter engages. the two ignition wires show power when the key is turned on but not when off.

i have an xpresskit bypass hooked to the blue wire on the 4 pin satellite harness from the remote start unit. The rest of the wires on the bypass are hooked to the factory immobilizer plug wires (pin #2 #3 and #4).

looking for some help on this. my girlfriend keeps telling me to get it to work lol i got it for her for christmas so i would like to get it working as quck as i can. Thanks for any help guys!

Im also installing a remote start onto my 02 v6 and was wondering if you had to hook the remote start to a disarm wire. Its supposed to be Dark Green/Purple but i can not find it anywhere. If you did use it where did you find it?
thanks

if youre installing just a remote start without an alarm system you do not need that wire.

the only wires you need to hook up are the neutral safety (-), brake switch, parking lights, door locks (if you want them hooked up) which you may need to use a relay to reverse the signal, the starter, ignition and acc wires as well as the bypass wires.
