Rear Suspension
I have some nasty rear wheel hop and I have read/searched and it seems some say street/drag radials will eiliminate it while others say replacing the arms work best. Now since replacing the UCA/LCAs are a bit of work, which is best?
My 60' times arent that great because of the hop. ~2.2 - 2.3 seconds. I'm looking at these MMRLCA-31 to start with.

Yea as it was showing for Mustangs and not Cobras. I havent found anything for a Cobra other then db performance engineering which manufacturers them. I stopped by and its going to be $900 installed.

There are things you can do to greatly reduce the wheel hop a fair amount. About two summers ago I bought IRS bracing Kenny brown? maybe $300) for my 03' Cobra. It cut the wheel hop in half, it does still wheel hop but this was a cheap way to cut it down. I also read in a recent 5.0 mag after market IRS upgrades that also help. I hope you keep the IRS in there a lot of people in the forums recommend swapping out the IRS for a solid unit but I think the IRS gives these cars such a great unique feel. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I plan on keeping the IRS. I have seen many bushings claiming to reduce the hop too but with all the bushings needed to be replaced, its just as much as getting new arms. Plus, the new arms are stronger, lighter and powder coated too. Db performance engineering is a SVT Cobra certified center so I think I can trust that their arms are quality and the work done right too.
What is the recommended tire pressure as I think Im running too much pressure? Im at 35 for street use but at the track I brought it down to 32.

the brace helps greatly as do replacing the bushings. Its a notible difference even in a straight axle car when you go from stock to urethane bushings. and even better when you get rid of the crappy factory control arms.

Im sold. I will go in Tuesday to place the deposit on the parts. Takes a few days to make them and get an open appointment (busy shop). Hopefully they can start on Friday. Said its a 1 day job unless something bad is found once its apart. knowing my luck they will be calling me with some "news". One other benefit is their arms are produced with powercoated bright red finishes for that custom look. The red fits in with my black/red colors.

Bah he thought I had a GT so with the Cobra's IRs all we can do is the subframe connectors and Eibauch springs w/ F/R swaybars. Oh and I got some billet CC plates too. should get it back tomorrow afternoon. Said the bushing replacements wouldnt really do much help at all and for the money its better to save it for other things.
The swaybar upgrades should help transfer stability from one wheel to the other if one side starts to hop giving extra traction downforce.
