Okay I'll check them. And I pulled the wiring diagram from the bag the adaptor came from. An just connected the grounds strait to the ground stub on my battery. My guess is the fuses now.

Thanks for the help thus far! I have to step away from the stang for a while and go look at getting a replacement cast for my wrist, but when I get home I'm pulling some fuses!

That connector with the RCA cables that you bought is what turns the amps on for the factory unit.(plug should look like this:
Amazon.com: Metra 70-5702 8-Way Sub Plug with RCAs for Select Ford/Lincoln Vehicles: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Metra 70-5702 8-Way Sub Plug with RCAs for Select Ford/Lincoln Vehicles: Car Electronics
) The two blue/white wires give power to the amps, they need to be hooked up to the RADIOs amp wire. Look at the wiring diagram that came with your radio, there should be a wire for power to an amp. That is the wire you need to hook the two blue/white wires too. The pioneer i installed i think it was also a blue/white wire out of the back of the new radio, i think its the same for all pioneer units. I dont have the car in front of me right at the moment, my girlfriend wont be home till tomorrow. The black/white wires are the amp grounds, they need to be ran to chassis ground. i grounded mine out on that metal brace underneath where the radio sits in the dash.

that blue/white wire youre holding up in this picture is the wire that needs to go to the two blue/white wires from the aftermarket plug witht eh two RCAs and ground wires.

Thanks so much for the help! The blue and white wire I'm holding up in the picture has a tag on it that reads "system remote control" are you sure I plug that to the "amp power" cables that are blue and white?

X2 I think it makes yourstock system sound so much better. Put a new unit in my f150 and my girls Mustang GT. my girls GT has the mach1000 sound system, it sounds so much better now.

Hmmmm so a new quality head unit on a stock mach 460 would be a noticeable difference?
