I'm still up in the air as to what rims I want to use for my 2000 Performance Red GT(first pic). Right now I got a good drop on my car, and I'm considering raising it an inch. Later I want to install an H/X pipe, and I don't want to scrape constantly. I'm still not sure if I want 17s or 18s.

I'm still not 100% for the idea of bullitts, because almost all late model Mustangs have bullitts.

I like the FR500s replicas however I own a GT, and I understand that. I'm not trying to dress my car up as a Cobra, Saleen, Mach1, or a Roush. But I'm still open to putting them on my car.

However, I like the old school raised rear look on the 70s cars, and last week I ran across a Cobra with 17X8s(stock Ford Bullitts) in the front and 18X10s(deep dish wheel replicas) in the rear. I thought it looked pretty sweet. He used 17X8s in the front to avoid scraping the coilovers, and I'm concerned about the same thing.

Think it will look good on my car? Do y'all think it'll still scrape or rub?

Here's where I saw the pics.

I should note that I am going to a do a brake and caliper upgrade in the future. Here's another pic. Any problems, or anything to watch for?

I think that doesnt match well, get a set of 17x8 deep dish for the front and 18x10 for the rear, then some smoked headlights and a scoop, a 01 gt spoiler, and some louvers

I've researched, and so far all I see is 17X8 from Ford.

Wheel replicas have 17X9( http://www.stage3motorsports.com/index.cgi?product=486 ) and 18X9.

Wheel replicas also have 17X10.5 and 18X10( http://www.stage3motorsports.com/index.cgi?product=465 ) deep dish. There isn't a 17X8 or 17X9 deep dish.

I've found a 17X8 black bullitt ( http://www.stage3motorsports.com/index.cgi?product=639 ), but it appears to be a different company than the wheel replicas. So I'm not sure how the shades of black and chrome lip match. I'm awaiting an e-mail.

BTW I'm ahead of ya, I'm definately going smoked(probably orange over clear) headlights.

Probably a hoodscoop with a hood stripe similar to 99 Anniversary Editions. Maybe a Mach1 chin spoiler.

I'm still not sold on the louvers as I'm not trying to go too MACh1.

okay, simply, forget about what other people think about your car, if they say ur a poser because u have side scoops, its their problem. I dunno if i like the hood stripe idea. I think you should ge the 01-04 smoked gt lights, If you cant get two wheels that are both deep dish, dont do it, that car doesnt look right because it has two different wheel designs on one car. Go with 18x8 in front and 18x10 in rear if you cant get 17s. just remember not to get two different sets of wheels for the front and back because then it wont match. i do like the 99 cobra bumper with the chin spoiler and gt scoop, looks shockingly sweet

From what I've been told, if you can get a set of 03-04 Stock Bullitts(not 01-02) it's the exact same color as the wheel replicas Anthracites.

Only 18X10 and 17X10.5 are deep dish, so two rims are going to have DD while the fronts won't. If that's what you meant by matching.

As far as a color match....I've been trying to find out if the 17X9s scrape in people's rides. So that way I can avoid the 17X8s and avoid a color matching problem.

I've also thought about painting the spoiler black, but that might be a little overkill.

I'm convinced that I need to go 17X9...or 18X9s in the front. I've seen enough people run 9s in the front, so I don't feel like it'll rub. That will take care of any mismatch color or mismatch chrome lip.

Tomorrow I gotta pay the TT&L for my Stang, then it's headlight time!

I saw this today....give it a slight "rake" with a lower drop, and that's the path I looking to take my ride(same color too).
