Does the 1999-2004 Magnaflow (not Magnapack) Cat-Back (model 15671) have nice double-walled tips? I know the 2005+ systems do, but I havent seen any pictures of a 99-04 Mustang GT with Magnaflows that clearly show the tips. The pics on the Magnaflow website arent very helpful, so I'd appreciate any feedback owners can provide. Thanks. -Dan

They are a 4" tip coming out, not rolled, not double walled or anything. I believe they also have a slight angle cut to them.

I have the regular Magnaflow (non-Magnapack) cat-back exhaust on my 2002 GT. The tips are actually 3.5" and do have a slight angled cut, but not "double wall". The angled cut is not nearly as extreme as the stock tips. The tips have a nice quality high polish finish. I absolutely love the way mine sounds and would recommend them to any 99-04 owner.

Dan, I've got the exact system you're looking at on my car and I love the Magnaflows! You'll like the sound. Be sure and double check the tightness on the allen-head screws on the adjustment rods above the tips because mine have come loose. Just make sure they are good and tight because the shop that installed mine didn't get them tight enough and the screw came out and I dumped one of the rods on the interstate.

I got my Magnaflow cat-back yesterday. I went to an autoshow at Englishtown Raceway in NJ, and there were some vendors there. I got the system (#15671) new from Ultimate Automotive Industries Inc. for $400, no tax. Great price! The best price I could find online was about $440, but I still needed to pay for shipping and/or tax. So this was a great deal and I will hopefully be installing it this weekend.

Keep in mind, the system will get progressively louder the more you drive it (to a certain point). A month after installing mine, the exhaust is noticeably louder than after it was first installed. BTW, I purchased mine for $440 shipped from a local shop. I think MRT Direct sells this system for $440 with free shipping/no tax.

Not too loud though, right? I assume you still like the sound it produces.

Exactly, not too loud at all. Still not much different than the stock sound at idle. "Slightly" louder as you move up in the RPM range. I love the sound, it is very unique, perfect in my opinion.

Yes, stock H pipe and cats remain. The pics on the Magnaflow site don't really resemble the system all that much.

Yeah the catback replaces everything from the mid-pipe back.
