Mach 1 or Cobra?

I've just recently heard the Mach1's internals are different from the regular GT's. Is this true? And if I were going to buy either vehicle and go forced induction anyway, which is the better platform to start from, other than the fact the Terminator is supercharged already.

Terminator is a stronger motor than Mach or GT.

Machs and Cobras share . .

Heads
Cams
Forged Crank (Manual Mach's)

Mach as aluminum block, Cobra has Iron. Cobra has forged internals, Machs don't (except for Crank on manuals.)

Mach is good to ~450hp on a SAFE F/I tune, but at this point one has to start thinking about upgrading clutch/flywheel, axles, differential, etc. If you are planning F/I go with the Cobra. Fantastic engine! That being said I love my Mach!

This is coming from an 03 Cobra owner, the Mach is a better bang for the buck. I love my Cobra and got a great deal on it but recent finds show that Terminators are selling for way more than Mach1s. Like a previous post said if u are happy with 450 or so HP the Mach would be great and if you are a drag racer you won't have to worry about the Cobra's IRS wheel hopping.
