I lost the bottom half to one of the heat shields on one of my cats while driving today. I know i need to get it fixed, but i am closing on a house in a few months and christmas has got me strapped. should i be real concerned if i have to put this off till spring? should I go with an off-road h-pipe instead? thanks.

don't worry about a heat shield at all, its just a thin piece of metal that COVERS the cat. It does not mean the catalytic converter is falling apart
