Kenne bell
Kenne bell
OK ladies and gents I would love to put a kenne bell supercharger on my 2000 gt from what I understand kenne bell designed their supercharger to work with stock internals of the motor is there anything I should do in addition to the supercharger any suggestions are definitely welcome thanks in advance
Bigger brakes, which also usually means a new set of rims and tires r in order as well. More supportive seats like Sparco's or Recaros, and even though they can run on the stock bottom end i would still try to add some forged and upgraded parts in there just to be safe. Especially if u wanna turn the boost up later down the road

I'm pretty sure everything from kenne bell is 4200 but bottom end kits are about 1200 and if you can't do it yourself its about another 1500 and what the fun in running low boost

No thats not very likley unless you spit a rod right through the middle of it. If you blow you motor you dont necessarily loose you intake, or heads, or cams. Its very unlikely that an damage would happen were you motor to let go. That being said, the 4.6 are very boost responsive even on stock internals. They can very easily and safely handle upwards of 400hp for years without any issues
. You fully build the bottom end then you in the 600-800 hp range and it comes down to what the stock iron block can handle, not the internals.
In the end, its what you feel comfortable with, all im saying is that its very possible to boost with a stock bottom end, many people do it with great results and no issues
. I would love to see you build the motor and push that kind of power
but you dont need to be built to boost.

400 is attainable on the stock bottom but thats right there on the border. Shouldnt have problems but dont be entirely surprised if something does happen. Either way let us know if you actually s/c ur stang and keep us updated! (:
