Kenne bell 2.1 install

Hey guys I have a 2000 gt thinking about buying the 9# kenne bell kit just wondering if anyone had the install instructions so I could look and see if it's a job I think I could tackle or not before spending 6 grand. Thanks

I don't know about Kenne Bells but I helped swap a Whipple onto my buddies 11 GT500. Got most of the work done in a day. However I can't speak for Kenne Bells instructions

Ok. I know I've read of somebody's build up with a KB but I don't remember if that was on this forum

This doesn't answer you question, but the above is exactly why I'll never deal with Kenne Bell. Even if their superchargers are as half as good as their hype and hyperbole claim they are, the fact that they were going to charge you $20 for freaking installation instructions is just pathetic, IMO. I was also never able to reach them by phone when I was researching superchargers for my 2007 GT (I wound up going with a 2011 5.0L instead, ha ha). By contrast, I've seen posts where Whipple has e-mailed *.PDF's of their installation instructions for free.

The install of my Kenne bell was easy but I have a gt500 and not a 4.6 but as for getting a hold of them I had no problems I called them several times with questions and always got an answer. They are on westcoast time keep that in mind as to when you are calling. When they first open at lunch and before they close as with any business is the worst time to call.

Can't really help with your particular question since mine is a 4valve and not a 2valve. The KB instruction booklet that came with mine is very well organized and put together, comprising about 50 odd pages with plenty of photographs detailing each step completely. Kenne Bell prefers to deal with professional installers, which I think is why sometimes they are difficult to get a hold of.

The shop that did my install never had a problem reaching them, but I did on occassion. What I found was a good way around the telephone situation was to log onto the forums where Kenne Bell has a presence, and ask for what I needed on there. Try SVTPerformance.com, or Modular Fords.com, or any one of several others that have a large vendor contigent, and Kenne Bell will probably be there too.
