Does anyone know what the insurance difference would be between a Mach1 and a GT? I am 20 and have a spotless record.

Depends on your insurance company, but its probably between 150 and 350 a year.

Gives yours a call.

When I checked a year and a half ago, there was no difference whatsoever. They considered a Mach 1 a GT. Difference between those two and a Cobra was $500 Canadian per year which is very little for the power difference.

It was about an extra $150-$175 every 6 mos over the cost of insuring my 03 GT vert. I'm 36,married,no tix nor accidents with State Farm. I'm wishing I would have got the MACH. I love the GT vert and all but the club I belong to has a few Mach's and I just everytime I see them. If you have the means I suggest you pick up one...they're so choice!,lol!!!!

I have allstate, i am 19, and with a v-6 (and TWO tickets), i pay only 90 dollars.

Granted, i was going to buy a 01 gt, but when i found out insurance was 300 dollars a month (more than the payment!) i decided to save the best for later. when i'm old... and dont... enjoy.... the powe--....

oh darn it, i should have bought the GT.

Thanks for the info, but it seems to me that for a 45hp difference, the insurance difference would be more than suggested.

DEPENDS ON AGE LOCATION AND ACCIDENT FREE.
BUT THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME.
I NO THAT CONVERTIBLES ARE MORE THAN HARD TOPS.
THE ONLY GOOD ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS USE THE LOWER DEDUTABLE
MY SON HAD A 1000 DED. HE'S NOW SORRY TO PAY THE HIGH NOTE.AFTER HIS ACCIDENT

An SVT Mustang Cobra was only $37 more per month than a normal GT.

When the Mach's first came out, there was no difference, because the Ins companies didn't know better. They've since figured it out. When I jumped from a Convertible to the Mach mine jumped $70 a month on USAA. it's since gone back down however.

But, the Mach is worth it
