Machs with manual trannys have a forged bottom end, 3V dont!! Thats what makes them better,unless you want the gas mileage. I get 18 to 26 on my 04 Mach1, Dont forgot, Machs came with subframe connectors, Suspension sat 1/2 lower than a GT, Brakes are 13 inch rotors , The Machs had many many things different then a GT, Thats what I like about the Mach1, Ford just didnt add some Cosmetic features and call it a Mach, they actually did motor, suspension and cosmetics..Great Job Ford..

 

Manual Mach's have forged cranks (autos don't), not forged entire bottom ends. 'Bottom End' includes Rods, Pistons, block, crankshaft.
