my uncle is thinking about buyin a 95 cobra r...........he can get 1 for like 22K.........advice please

 

Questions to ask your uncle. Why is he buying it? An investment? Is it going to be kept in a garage? Driven sporadically on sunny days? If that's why he's buying it I say go for it! Limited production car- only 250 of them produced!
On the otther hand, let's assume he's buying it as a daily driver. No air conditioning. No stereo. No sound deadening. No back seat. Cloth interior. Sure, he can put all the aforementioned amenities in but at a premium! It's straight line performance is comparable to the 2003 and 2004 Mach1 in the quarter mile. You can get a 2003 Cobra for around 25,000 and have all the creature comforts plus all the power that a supercharged v8 carries with it.
My answer to your question depends on the reasons he is considering buying it. Just my take on it. Anyone else out there with a different perspective?

 

Buy it! Resell it for 40k and buy a 03 cobra.

How about more info? Such as shape, mileage, legit or clone? 1 of 250 is very rare, but its performance is not to par to what has been made available in the last few years from Ford.

the parts are all the same int. that is in it right now..........i think he might b able 2 sell the parts for more than 10K b/c i dont think u can find n e int. parts 4 a cobra R.IMO

yes....all the original R int.(everything),and the original cobra R wheels,and some ather stuff i 4get...........i'm tryin my best 2 talk him in 2 it.

 

If performance was a factor I would pass on it for an '03 - '04 low miles Mach 1 or Cobra. If exclusivity is the main reason, you uncle will be making an excellent choice.

Is it white with black interior or white with black/camel interior?

 

Tan is the only interior color of a real 95 R. Or are u asking that too find out if it is real or fake?

at first i wanted him 2 get a 03-04 cobra but he wanted the cobra R.i think the main thing is he wants a car that is the same as his 65 shelby but 30 years ahead.

Real 95 R interior parts stink. All they are is basic GT and V6 parts. The R didn't even have most interior parts. gone for weight loss. The only money maker would be the wheels.

 

So what happened to the deal? Did he buy it? That is a good deal. The 95 Rs are hard to come by. Keep us posted
