Miles to the tank is pretty much useless as a measurement. To get any kind of meaningful data for comparison sake or to track your results, you need to track your miles per gallon. To find this, fill your tank up completely, then divide the miles you've driven by the gallons of gas you've put in the tank, to get your mpg.
I've never driven 100% city miles in any car that I can recall in 25 years of driving, but with mixed city/highway driving in my '01 Bullitt I used to get around 18-20 mpg and with mostly highway driving, like on a trip, I would get 22-24 mpg.

With the Cobra, I usually drive quite....enthusiastically and get 13-14 when I do the math calculating at the pump during refills.
With my 99 GT I used to do 17-18.
Thats normal around town driving. Significant highway usually increases this but 5-7 mpg.

I filled it up all the way and did the math and got 15mpg, with very enthusiastic driving. The problem I had wad my low fuel light would come on when I used about 12 gallons, so I never actually ran more then that. Another question... does it seem to yall that the fuel gauge is off? Like moves a lot. Then slows down? Cause I have filled it up from 1/2 and it only took 4 gallons..

I have not had any issues like that with only filling 4 gallons from half but the fuel light does turn on very early. Like 12 you are talking about even though the tank holds nearly 16. I think Ford does it based on assumed mileage. since like you 15mpg 4 gallons would only get you 60miles where on a focus they have it go off with 2 gallons left since 30mpg would be around 60miles too. stuff like that. of course I am being very general, but you know what I mean.

^bow-down to the master! hahahah
My lowest mileage was after a couple hours of rather spirited driving through the mountains (a sporty Infiniti G35 may or may not have been involved, hahaha). 13mpg
-Worth every penny (It's about the smiles per gallon baby!)

My car is Vortech Supercharged with a conservative 381 rwhp. I never get under 20 no matter how I drive**. On long mostly highway trips I get 26-27mpg. In mostly city driving I get about 23-24(driving like grandma).
** Open tracking at Barber's, Road Atlanta or Nashville I get about 13-15 mpg.

Im at about 20 average with my 87 performance tune. Other mods are cai and borla stingers. I think my worst ever was about 8-10 average but that was on a nice, pleasant night cruisin with friends. Until we hit some twistys on the way to an abandoned runway
