I'm thinking about putting a borla cat-back on my y2k GT, and I was wondering what's a good header/midpipe combo. I've heard BBK makes fairly good hp gains, but how good are they with the borla exhaust?

For headers, JBA have always been on of the best shorty headers out. If you want to go with LT's, i've heard good things about the BBK and also the hooker. The problem with the hooker headers, you have to use their own mid-pipe and its not cheap. The BBK you can use any mid-pipe. With borla's, I think the BBK LT's and a good x-pipe (catted or not) would work great, again I prefer magnaflow.
The mac prochamber would also sound really good and deep.

Mac prochamber is the best sounding mid pipe on any stang in my opinion. It also will net you more power than any h pipe design out there. A x pipe will most likely net you a tad more top end power, but will sacrifice some of your low end torque to do so.

IMO headers aren't worth the cost to buy and install them. You'll be fine with a cat-back, and mid pipe. I had a Prochamber with Mac 3.5, but went to Magnaflow X-pipe, and cat-back. Great sound.
