Long tubes will get you a little more hp in the higher rpms, however on a n/a engine they may very well cost you some torque in the lower rpms.

Sorry, I dont know anyone that makes a catted x pipe, I would however check bassani and borla. For some reason I think one of those companies make a catted x for the 4.6

As far as brands, listen to as many setups as you can IN PERSON. You cant really get the full effect of an exhaust sound through a recording. You can check out http://www.mustangexhaust.com for some sound clips though and maybe that will point you in the right direction.

Just remember that it isnt any one component that gives the exhaust it's sound, it is everything from the headers to the tailpipes.

MAGNAFLOW, stainless steel polished tips and mufflers, mandrel bent, perfect fit, excellent quality, low price and mine still look new after 4 years!!!!!!!

I agree, magnaflow is amazing from the sound to the fit and finish.

If you do decide to go with LT's and must stick with a catted X-pipe, although not my favorite, but BBK does make one for LT's. Defintely check with Bassani, Borla and Magnaflow, as they may make something I am not aware of.

I reccommend anything from magnaflow because their fit and finish is extrodinary, but my personal fav is:
Bassani X pipe with hi flow cats, bassani long tube headers, borla stinger catback

That's a killer combo!

A straight Bassani combo works too.
