For all of you who had to replace your plastic intake manifold and Ford said tough luck, we will get the last laugh.

So what models are affected? I see Mustangs after 1997 and some 1998-2001.

So does that mean anything with the PI intakes? How is action taken? Is it available in all 50 states or just the 3?

Does that mean people who sold their cars and had previously replaced their manifolds will get a check also?

It is all states, I live in texas and I was sent a letter from Chamberlan v. Ford Administrator c/o Rosenthal & Company LLC P.O. Box 6177
Novato, CA 94948-6177

Go to www.FordManifoldSettlement.com for more info.

And yes, according to the letter, people who sold there car after replacing the manifold will be reimbursed as well, as long as you can prove it.

Why is my 96 not covered? I replaced mine. That's bullcrap. I'm gonna check my vin number anyway but why would they exclude those years. Unless they maybe thought the 96's had 5.0 in them.

With respect to 1998 - 2001 Ford Mustangs, only those vehicles originally equipped with the 4.6L 2-valve engine are included in the Class. Those 1998 - 2001 Mustangs originally equipped with other engines are not included.

List of Vehicle Indetification Numbers (VINs)

For 1997 Ford Mustangs with build dates after 6/24/1997.

Yea, I read that on there, but it doesn't answer my question...

It says 98-01 mustangs with the 4.6L 2-valve engine. The letter that the law firm mailed to me says the same. That means to me every Mustang GT, not the V-6 and not the cobra, unless they made Mustang GTs with something other than the 4.6L 2-valve engine.
