Hey what's up everyone new to this board, but not mustangs i have owned 3 mustangs in the past a 1996 v6 convertible a 1998 mustang gt and 2001 mustang gt. I currently do not have a stang as of 4 months ago. My dream mustang has always been the 1999 Saleen S351. Now that money permits I am in the hunt for a rare high performance mustang, I plan on purchasing this vehicle in the summer but figured i could start the search now. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of contacting someone who can help me find a saleen S351 or a car of its caliber. Thanks

Justin

Welcome to the site. FYI, they only made 46 S-351s in 1999.

The best place to contact for any Saleen is Performance Autosport.

http://www.performanceautosport.com

They do have a 98 S-351 Speedster.

Good luck.

Expect to pay a pretty penny. It'll cost you around 40k for one but a good choice to buy B) .

Good hunting! Cuz they are the rarest and most expensive Saleens to find.

Thanks for the info guys, ever since i saw one in 1999 and read about the s351, i've wanted one i was thinking it was going to be upwards of 50k-60k. i wanted a new cobra but i'm not waiting 2-3 years. I thought the 2003 saleen cobra was the rarest only 6 made. I might end up with a '05 saleen in the summer if they're spectacular, but thats a wait and see.

I'd say wait for the 05 saleen first before you make any decisions on buying a s-351. Hopefully it'll be a sweet ride! BTW you might want to check out car domain since I was able to find lots a saleens there. You might get luck & find a s-351 for sale.

No decisions will be made till summer, so thats plenty of time to do research and what not. I would rather have a new car rather than used. do you think summer too late for an '05 saleen

Nope. Not at all. In fact you might even wanna wait a few months longer for the next SEMA show, Saleen will probably have something new up their his sleeve (possibly a new supercharged S-281E???). Patience is a virtue.

Texas Lil's! love that place. I sometimes hang out there with my Marine biker friends, although I don't have a bike. 05 Saleen should be coming out in 16 days (SEMA on Nov. 2-5). look at the top of the page...hepefully, they won't butcher the car like roush did.

Texas Lil's good looking women and good food, can't beat it. I have to say i think that place is better than Hooters hands down. Yeah I know the roush does kinda stink, but it's gonna have some power.

Yeah! it is waaay better than Hooters! The roush is great performance wise. I will not argue with anybody there. But it looks like plain rice. If I had a 400-450hp car like the Rouse, I would keep all the performance stuff intact, and buy a GT body kit.

BTW...there is another Texas Lil's or is it Texas Lucy's??? up in Corona where the girls wear lil' leather chaps and thongs.

I'm there!! I was thinking about buying the GT and throwing the Eleanor body kit from cervinis on there and getting it up to 500hp(possible?).

I'm gonna try and get off work to make to the SEMA show i have some family in vegas as well so that would work out well.

WHOA!!!Double post! With probably a few bolt ons and a blower I could see it being done.

Dunno if they'll just let anyone in at SEMA. It's either you need to be a automotive guru or have to coin up some dough to get in. It's not really like paying to get into Disneyland, y'know.

The 2005 Saleen will be previewed at the Anaheim Auto Show on Wednesday October 27th. The 2005 Saleens should be hitting the dealers around mid-Novermber.
