Find me a ride, what yall think?
Excuse the title I meant to put "Found".
My girlfriends dad actually showed this car to me, its a 2001 SVT Cobra convertible in True Blue. The guy is asking 12,600, which I find is a fair price since its 300 less then NADA has it for. Here's the link: 2001 SVT Cobra.
Basically I need some ideas to help me talk my parents into letting me buy, first off a convertible, and secondly a cobra. So any smooth talking hints for me would be appreciated. Also I'm about to be 21, no tickets, and no wrecks so that should help my cause right.

Yeh I've been looking around the interwebz for similar stangs at this price or lower and everyone is around the same price range. I talked to my mom about it just a few minutes ago and she seemed to be going for it, but I didn't tell her its a Cobra or a convertible. It does look really good from the pics.
Still need some suggestions to smooth talk my parents with.

Just put on a sad puppy look, and tell them how much you want it.

Yeh thats one of the things im trying to keep on the down low from my dad, he thinks a mustang is a little to much car for me. Granted it is a HUGE increase compared to what I drive now, 96 explorer V8 with 242,XXX miles on it.
I played that card when I was looking at a screaming yellow gt several months back, didn't have the income then, but I said they both have had numerous accidents and tickets and that I was a better driver then they were at my age.

Just emailed the seller to see if he removed the SVT badge and why he removed the cobra seats and "replaced" them.

The email I sent the seller.
This is the email the seller sent back to me.
I would like to get a little more info about the car if you don't mind. The absence of the SVT Badge on the back of the car caught my eye, did you remove this badge or did it come this way. Also what was the reason for removing the cobra seats?
I wasn't aware of the SVT badge missing from the rear end. I looked at the pictures and see what you mean compared to others though. It is an SVT though.
The seats are still the Cobra seats, the Previous Owner had the Suede Inserts replaced with matching leather. I bought it from a dealer, but I assume it was because the Suede can be hard to keep clean. You can still see the impression on the seat backs from where the Embroidered Cobra was on the seat.
Thanks,
