Exhaust smokes when backing up

Hey guys I have an 04 GT and almost every time I back up and give it a little gas I see smoke and smells like rotten eggs lol. It doesn't matter if it's a cold or hot start it still does it. Other than happening when backing up I never see smoke. Any help would be appreciated.

So you notice it in reverse. Is it possible that everyone else notices it when they are behind you?

The smell is coming from your catalytic converter due to too much sulfur passing through. You might need to replace your converter, but it may be due to another problem. Google "exhaust rotten egg smell" there's a lot of information about it.

I should've mentioned that I have a LTs, Off road mid pipe and exhaust.. I've had other people drive or stand behind me and they don't notice it.

97k, I thought it could've been an O ring but it smokes out of both. and it's a manual so I give it some gas backing up lol no tire smoke in reverse.

When I do that while backing up, I keep my mouth closed.
