Everything went out??!?

Everything went out??!?

I was driving home and i noticed my interior lights were dim but i just assumed it was nothing big..but as i was headed home first my stereo went out a couple of times.as i left a light i stepd on the gas n as i tried switching yo 2nd the car started to pull and a min or two my lights went out and eventually the whole car shut down?ideas of what this could be?altenator maybe?

The alternator would be the first thing to check ...

Alternator. Do you have subwoofers? If so this might as well be the time to upgrade to a bigger alternator

Check your disturbution box in the engine bay. I know they good bad over the years. The Plastic get's brittle and breaks the battery power cord from the box.

I turn it on today and took it out for a short drive but everythin seem well.would be best to upgrade anyways right

Ok forget what I said. As the car wouldn't have any power if the Power distrubtion box went bad. How old is the battery? It could be the signs of a bad/old battery or Alt
