I was wondering if it was possible.

If you get a 04 v6, I know you'd have to switch the engine and tranny, but what else, and would it be worth it? Like would it cost more to do this or to just buy the cobra...

A 2003-2004 Cobra crate engine is $12,000. You'd be better off just buying a Cobra.

Between the engine that Brad has mentioned, the T-56 tranny, IRS, brakes, wheels, exhaust and other stuff, it would have ended up costing faaaar more than buying one.

Find yourself a used '03, they're selling in the low to mid $20K range.

With today's late model cars and all the differences, you'd be better off buying a GT and throwing a supercharger on it.

To convert your 6'r now to a s/c'd 4v, you'll have to repalce the engine, k-member, tranny, rear end (no way the 7.5" is gonna hold up), computer, wiring harness, fuel system and more. Basically its building a new car.

Now you can take a GT, upgrade the fuel pump, new injectors and a few other things, put a vortech s-trim on it and pump out 360-380rwhp on a safe tune.

Or you can find a good low mile 03 cobra and just trade the 6'r for that.

One of the last 2 options is honestly your best bet.

my 2 cents i agree too much money to convert. can be done. but the engine and tranny is going to cost almost as much as an entire used cobra. and that doesnt include the labor to install everything

unless you can find a wrecked cobra as a donor car, it's going to cost too much.

I wish I lived where you did. Ive looked around and found them for about 27000. As soon as I sell my car, I'm off to get one!

I'll probably get the GT then... Though, mid 200's seem like nothing compared to the 05's 302...

That makes me want to go for the mach 1 or even a cobra.

I wish I could find a totaled one then fix it...
