Just got a call from a local dealer that heard I was looking for an 03/04 GT Vert. He called and told me he has an 03 Centennial GT Vert, never titled sitting on his lot. The list he said is 36k. He says the have it marked down to 29k and then take 4k off that. That's 25k and after tax/title it's 27,200 out the door. Does this sound good?...It sure sounds darn good to me! I really like the fact that only a little over 1300 of these were made in verts. Rarer yet is that only 717 were made in the GT coupe centennial. I'm going up there tomorrow morning to get the ball rolling. It's all going to come down to interest rate since I have a firm price. Wish me luck...I just have a feeling though this is too good to be true...and you know the rest of that sentence, lol.

Hmmmm, what the heck is a centennial Edition? Never heard of it, or don't remember it?

Go to top of the page under time line. Go to "2003" and scroll down thru the models
till you see the Centennial edition. I think I'm gonna have a rough time sleeping tonight...lol!!

25K for an 03 GT 'vert? Whew, sounds high to me. I've seen (used) 03 Cobra 'verts for under $30K.

I'd offer him $22K....tops.

The 100th anniv edition is not worth that much of a premium over a regular GT.

Even though it's never been titled, only 1322 made in this edition and stickers at 36k? Just wondering. You guys are a great help to me and any insite will keep
the vaseline jar out of the saleman's hands, lol. Also it auto, has the Mach 1000 system,IUP,blah, blah, blah. I know most aren't fans of auto but I'm having Arthroscopic surgery done on my left knee monday for an MCL problem...makes shifting a real pain.

A regular GT premium vert for my area is showing 24k via Blue book. This one is 25,200 before taxes/title.

Run it's value through KBB.com as a used car. Regardless of the fact that it's never been titled, it's a two-year old car the second you drive off the lot. Even worse is the fact that it's black and has sat on the dealer lot for 18 months or so. The paint may have some damage.

That's exactly how I did it...under "used". I'm amazed how much a used 03 GT vert still is blued for this area. heck,we only get 3 mos of sunshine a year as it is so give a little break on the GT's,lol!!!

You will love the car. I drive one. One of 1323 built.

I bought mine with 7000 off sticker in August 03 though.

Sticker was 31K.

It all boils down to how you feel about it. Do you want to wait for the new ones or not? I say go for it. Try to talk the dealer down a little more. Tell him you are doing him a favor because you like him and wouldn't normally do this for just anybody. The ball is in his court then. Either way, try to have fun when you go there. Don't let him pressure you.

The dealer here tried to sell me a centennial coupe when I told him I wanted a black GT. It was manual though, which deterred me. I regret it more by the day.

I figured it out...I'm taking my 3 year old son and 14 year old daughter with me. They'll drive them nuts to the point they'll say "just take it for whatever the price, just please leave now",LOL!!!!! Actually I'm taking them anyhow. My phone service went out this morning and I don't want to leave them here without a phone. Should be a blast

taking the kids is a GREAT ploy, gives you a built in reason to take a hike at any minute. I really like the centennial version. If you keep it in good shape, could be a real collectors item some day

Worked like a charm...my boy was not in a great mood and had a fit. Got the paperwork drawn up with a price of...$23,400. That's around 2k less than originally talked about. Now they're shopping the best interest rate. I told them they have to beat my current rate or there was no deal.I have 8% right now which sucks so hopefully I can at least land a 4.9%. My credit score is 630-640 so we'll see what happens I guess. It is a beautiful ride...too bad it's been pouring rain here all day.I would have liked to drove her with the top down. I should know something by this evening.I'll keep ya posted
