Cam on a 95 cobra
I know I hear it pointless to upgrade cams without heads or intake but then I hear it can still add decent power...I don't have enough money to do the hole H/C/I combo but I'm lookin at a steeda #19 cam and What would I replace when I do that? I heard valve springs and push rods? Anyone got any input on this? I have full bolt ons with 3.73's and a driveshaft

A Man Just Needs Some....
I would recommend trick flow stage 1 cam and roller rockers. Push rods may need changing. Contact the cam manufacturer for correct push rod length.

Actually a cam would be great for your setup. the '95 cobra has GT40 heads ( they are not "P") with R.Rs 1.7 iirc and GT40 intake, so a cam is totally worth it with your combo. Actually one of the best bang for the buck combos for the fox a GT40 upper end with a stage 1 cam. The cam specs where a tad on the softer side from the factory for your car but really the steeda cam ( basically the same or darn close to the specs of the "B" cam) isn't going to give all that much over what you got, sine the stocker isn't too far off. Look at the stage 1 like stated or even the stage 2 cam, Anderson ford has a nice selection and even comp ( they have a great tech that can get a nice matched setup).

So a stage 1 or 2 trick flow cam and new rr's and push rods and I'll be good to go? Just curious what would be the point of new rr's? And no need to get upgraded valve springs?

Awesome thanks for the help guys and last question...what difference would I get from stage 1 and 2...its a DD and also I heard with the 5.0 motors it's a much easier job to change the cam? Just worried bout cost for labor since that's a little to advanced for my experience

The stage 2 is more aggressive than the stage 1. the stage 2 has more lift and duration. The stage 1 is a great street cam with a little more lift but more duration than your stock cam so there is boost in power ( all in quick basic terms). The stage 2 will give more of an aggressive idle, might use some more gas but with its higher duration checking PTV will be more important and a spring change would no doubt be in order with teh 2.
