Hey guy,

Scott has just about covered all the bases for me but I thought I'd atleast stick my head in here. The major thing to remember on any ford factory supercharged vehicle is they don't all for very much more air in the stock tuning. If you go adding a smaller blower pulley and improved air intake system then you run the risk of running your engine lean and that can be very bad .

The best way to do this would be to meet me at the dyno with your car now and we can get a baseline run before the chip to see where your at and how your a/f is looking to begin with. Then install my chip and do any fine tuning we may need. Like Scott said I would feel comfortable writing your chip for the basic mods you have now since your not too wildly modified and I feel It would be safe. Then in the future you could goto the dyno and bring me the sheet and I could make any adjustments necessary, even better would be to contact me and I could meet you there.

Either way it doesn't matter whom you go with, before you get to wild into modifing your car get some sort of aftermarket chip or programmer, preferable SCT.

later Doug904.

Most of the cars at the dyno with these mods make about 370 to 380 RWHP. Not sure why this one was higher. Cost of cold air and catbacks ~ $500 to $700.

Just installed 2.80 upper pulley and Diablo Predator
Pully worked good, got 15 psi boost, but it pegged the MAF at 5400 RPM.
RWTQ 467 @ 2500 RPM RWHP 424 @ 5400 RPM
Looks like I will need a new MAF to get the HP all the way out to redline @ 6700. Based on the curve and baseline, should get ~ 470 to 480 RWHP with new MAF

I bid on some 03 Cobra Verts on Ebay, they did not meet reserve. I was the high bidder so some of them have called me to see what I would give. You can get an 03 Cobra Vert with less than 2000 miles for ~ $26.000.

No comparison. I have not driven the 01 since I got the 03. The power of the 03 from down low is awsome. I'm not much of a top end driver, but I like to go from red light to red light. The 01 does not build much torque (which is what sets you back in the seat) until 4500 RPM. The 03 builds as much torque at 2500 RPM as the 01 peak torque. Now that I have added the smaller blower pulley, the torque at 2500 RPM is over 400 at the rear wheels, talk about snap your head back!

Wow, thats impressive. Is that normal for the 03-04 Cobra to take that well to just breathing mods? Whats the cost on those two mods? Thanks
the 03-04 cobras are powerfull, and few mods add tons of power

You have something wrong somewhere else then the MAF, I've seen these cars go well into the 500's with a stock mass air. Guess the Predator is warrenty safe?

We have logged the MAF voltage with the Predator and with a volt meter, it is 5.0 volts at 5000 RPM. As I have looked into this, I have found other 03's that have had this same problem, they have changed to 95 MM MAF or used MAFextenders. I just have not fixed mine yet.

Hey Glenn, something else that would really release a few more ponies would be to get a new midpipe. A simple off-road prochamber is about 220 bucks and will get rid of the restrictive stock cats. Not only will it give it more power but it would some amazing!

Thanks Gary,
I have been considering that but the 3" MAC is already so loud, I can't get on it without every cop within 5 miles hearing me.
