Almost wrecked the Cobra (who else has)(or really did!)

Ok, so tonight I was driving and had the Trac Control off, and I lost control as I punched it around a turn in 2nd at 25-30, almost slamming into a church wall. Luckily I regained control quick enough and didnt do anything.

The point is, how many of you all have almost screwed yourselves? Mine is a stock vert, I cant imagine driving one with more power like I did...

I did something very similar to what you did, but it was raining, and I would've hit a large rock, followed closely by a large tree, but like you, I got her back under control before any damage was caused. it was Very Frightening....I havent been very "risky" even since that....it really makes you think...what if?

I guess the person who bought your Cobra would have been pretty upset with you!

Haha yes, it is being sold tomorrow morning, the man is driving as I speak from Minnesota. Yes, it was very frigtening, it brings a whole new meaning to the term oversteer, and I repect drifters now, although they do have an easier track to race on.

I don't have an almost story, but I was with my friend when we wrecked in his 5.0. We where doing about 90 when he lost control and hit a curb. We rolled about 3 times. Here's whats left of it:

One time I was trying to get to the airport and running late. It was 5:30 in the morning and it had just stopped raining. To get onto the turnpike near my house, I have to make a left on a road at a very sharp angle (like a 140 degree turn). I slowed for the turn, but hit the gas as a exited the turn, trying to hurry up and make the light. Bad idea.

The rear of my car slid out and I spun 90 degrees to the left so I was positioned perpendicular to the lane. I was able to pull out of the skid and was okay, but it scared the you-know-what out of me. It was really early and there was no one on the road at the time, but I came way too close to completely losing control of the car. That's the only time Ive ever lost control of my car.
