98 gt

What's up. There is this guy selling his 98 gt, stock besides exhsust. The problem is the tranny will only go in reverse (manuel tranny). He's asking $2000 what you guys think?

Could be a shifter, clutch, or tranny issue.....offer $1500 if the mileage is not extreme. I don't think I would want to put more than a few hundred into the car based on what running ones go for around here.

There are other things you need to look at also IMO. How's the engine? How many miles? The interior? Leather seat? is it the 17'' rims? Does it has the Mach audio? How's the paint? Did the owner did the tune up like he supposed to? Any accidents?

Yep. If the body and interior are straight, the motor sounds good, go for it. The trans will be about $2k tops if it can't be fixed a lot cheaper. Chances are the trans issue can be resolved cheap.

And you know what? The t-45 wasn't a good trans, you might consider swapping for a better one.
