Yes bought 2 mustangs resently & the 94 has a short throw shifter in it & few other mods but the shifter is tight but when your riding it rattles bad & when you just lay your hand or finger on it the rattling stops even when your in 5th gear it doesn't rattle.The car was ordered by a man work at ford & it only has 54,000 miles on it some say it's a bushing but for it not being drove much kinda hard to believe something go bad just sitting but when one hasn;t been drove only 12 14 hundred miles since 2009 i guess anything is possible. I'd like to get few things going on it & maybe put set good heads on it & maybe a turbo or super charger,im new this old mustang one is a 98 gt & other one is a 94 as i said so any help be a appreciated.I keep my 05 gt in garage & it's not driven much lol.I just want me a play toy.

 

There is a small plastic bushing that the shifter sits in, it is very brittle and could have been damaged when the shifter was installed

 

Well i'll have him to take it off & look it's tight has no play in it,but man does it rattle or viverate & to think just touching it will stop it lol.
