2004 ford mustang GT help

I just purchased a 2004 GT and it has had some engine work done to it. But I was wondering if I could get some help with a ball park estimate of how much hp I have. I know it has a 78bbk throttle body, a bbk CAI with the filter inside the fender, headers, upgraded pulleys, and a steeda true dual exhaust system. Any hp would be appreciated.

Do you know if the previous owner had it tuned for all those mods? I heard you almost get double the hp from those bolt-ons after tuning. Ordering my tuner to get the most out of my mods also.

Im not sure if it was tuned or not. I am looking into one of those diablo predator chips and then having it on the dyno. Are there any other mods you recommend?

I know the mods are mostly bolt on like the bbk 78mm t/b the bbk CAI, there's headers, upgraded pulleys and a steeda true dual exhaust. It doesn't have any of the mods you mentioned. But I've been looking at those diablo predator chips.

I have a '04 GT with 78mm BBK TB, CAI, pulleys, SCT flash tuner, Magnaflow exhaust, headers to go on this week. Using a basic online horsepower estimator that uses car weight and 1/4 miles times my car should be putting about 260-270hp to the wheels. I would think that you would be close to that. If your looking to get at tuner/chip I would recommend a handheld tuner. When I bought mt SCT tuner I received free tunes for life

Yea it 260 hp stock, but he has 260-270 at the wheels. so he's pushing over 300 really.

A bolt on 2v will NOT hit 300 hp without at least a stage 2 cam with upgraded springs. And that's 300 crank hp. Your tb being that big reduces the velocity of the incoming air charge,a cai doesn't help the 2v whatsoever. And if you have shorty headers they didn't help either. The 2v is durable but without boost it's very limited. The stock 65mm tb would be fine,it's the plenum that is the intake air biggest restriction. I am going thru this right now with my 2v

So in other words a lot of money needs to be spent to get over 300 ponies

The 260 hp is at the flywheel, not the wheels, there is a big difference. Keep in mind that the numbers I gave were rough estimates based on 1/4 mile times not a dyno. The 78mm throttle body/plenum is ideal for a 2V if you plan on adding forced induction. I am, just not in the budget right now. I may put it on the dyno this spring, if I do I'll share the results with you. Very nice looking car

So say a stock bullitt has 270 HP. That's rearwheel power.? Then that would make 300 at flywheel right

No, stock Bullitt has 270hp at the crank. You're looking probably 230 to the wheels or so.

a stock Mustang gt has 260 hp to the crank.. U lose around 15% in manuels and around 20% in auto thu the drivetrain. Good estimate is 225- 230 hp to the wheels.

Ok bc I got 100 miles to a half tank and I don't think that's normal. I've stepped on it a couple times but to me that sounds really low.
