2001 Mustang
Whats up everyone. I have a question? I have a 2001 GT manual & every time I start the car it wont hold an idle & it wants to die on me. Its not the battery because I just had it replaced & after i get down the road it will run but when I try to push in the clutch & come to a stop it will die or it will be barley hold on to an idle. Any suggestion would help me out alot. I have a few ideas but also seeing if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks

When was the last time you had the car in for a tune up. Could be that you have fouled plugs. Cracked plug wires will also do the same thing. I had this problem with a Dodge years ago. New plugs and wires might fix the idle problem.

yeah that might be it...i might just pay the 100.00 dollars to have a diagnostic test on it

replace your IAC valve. 99% of the time when people have your symptoms, its the IAC valve. The NAPA replacement is supposed to be good, and the ones Ford puts out now are supposed to be better than the stocker. Fairly cheap part too.
