I know Brian (the owner of that car). He's acctually a good friend of mine. Its a 98 cobra (chrome yellow was not available in 97). At that time it was the stock 4.6L DOHC (completely stock from TB to oil pan). It has a vortech s-trim, a 75shot of nitrous, full drag suspension, 4.56 rear gears, a built c4 tranny, LT's, Dr. Gas X-pipe, dynomax race bullets and a amazing tune from Chris Johnson of JMS (now with SCT). Brian was crossing the 1/4 mile traps at about 8300rpm due to the 4.56's and c4. His car is amazing, I was there when that was filmed, acctually in the staging lanes about 3 cars back. Man when it let go, we knew it was bad. The motor was toast.
Its had about 300 passes on it at that power level (600+rwhp) and survived about 2 years. Amazing how long it lasted. He's almost got the new motor ready and expect alot more out of that car
.
Btw a friend of mine named Steph filmed that :P
